Trivia[]

  • Miles Morales makes his first animated debut in the Ultimate Spider-Man series.
  • In "I Am Spider-Man", an alternate Miles Morales from Peter Parker's universe is listed as one of Eugene "Flash" Thompson's understudies for Mary Jane Watson's Midtown High School's musical.
  • In May 2010, Donald Glover received a tweet from a fan on his official Twitter account, suggesting him for the role of Spider-Man in the then-upcoming 2012 The Amazing Spider-Man film. Glover, who is a fan of the Spider-Man comic book series, expressed his interest in the role and encouraged his followers to retweet the hashtag "#donald4spiderman".[2] The campaign quickly went viral, and the call for audition was even supported by Spider-Man co-creator Stan Lee.[3][4] A year later, comic book writer Brian Michael Bendis created Miles Morales, and revealed that he conceived the character before the campaign went viral, but credited Glover for influencing Miles's appearance after seeing him dressed in Spider-Man pajamas on a NBC sitcom television show, Community.[5][6] As a callback from the campaign, Glover was cast to voice Miles in the third season of Ultimate Spider-Man.[7]
  • During the events of the "Spider-Verse" storyline in the mainstream comics, The Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man from the Ultimate Spider-Man series (designated as Earth-12041)[8] formed his own sub-group in the Spider-Army and named the team "Web-Warriors" after the one he established in his own universe.[9] As a reference to Miles being a member of the Web-Warriors in the Ultimate Spider-Man series, his comic book counterpart (Earth-1610 Miles Morales) teamed up with Earth-12401 Spider-Man to recruit more Spider-Men for the Spider-Army and joined the Web-Warriors. Earth-1610 Miles initially disliked the team name, but later came to accept it.
  • In the thirteenth issue of The Amazing Spider-Man 2015 comic book series, Earth-1610 Miles alludes to his Earth-12041 counterpart's "Kid Arachnid" code name, which was originally coined in the Ultimate Spider-Man television series.[10]
